Output: Certification Element Completed
Criterion: developing the certification process for course completion. Evidence required: certification element data report.
What a credential asserts
One module is one credential. A module's on-chain token name is the Blake2b-256 hash of that module's student learning targets, so the credential names exactly what was learned and cannot be reinterpreted later: revise a learning target and the hash no longer matches the chain.
Nine module credentials were minted to Cardano mainnet on 29 September 2026 in a single transaction, 5fc25c42…0306438, under module credential policy 26a8cd75574c11bf33e85e69134529f765cf1e1743d33e89b61da9c5. The nine hashes and the 67 learning targets behind them are listed in On-chain Asset Creation.
What the learner holds
A learner mints a CIP-68 access token when they join: 222<alias> is the user NFT in their own wallet, 100<alias> the reference token carrying their metadata. Progress is recorded against that token, so the record belongs to the learner rather than to Edify, and survives independently of this programme.
The module credential itself is not reissued per learner. Each of the nine exists once on chain, read on 24 October 2026 as supply 1, so completion is read from the learner's access token rather than from a credential token in their wallet.
The completion rule
A module credential becomes claimable when every learning target in that module has been evidenced:
- The learner submits work against the module's assignment, composed in the Playbook Builder.
- A teacher reviews and accepts the submission.
- Acceptance records completion against that module's SLT hash.
- The learner claims the credential to their wallet.
Verification is reproducible by anyone: andamio course credential verify-hash recomputes a module's hash from its live learning targets and compares it with the chain.
Cohort 1 and the three-group split
The first cohort covers the course in three weeks by splitting it. Everyone takes modules 000 and 100; group 1 then takes 200 and 300, group 2 takes 400, 500 and 600, group 3 takes 700 and 800. Credentials are issued per module, so a cohort 1 learner completes and claims four or five of the nine rather than all of them. Completion for this cohort is therefore read per group. See the session 1 recap.
The first assignment was reviewed and its credential released during session 3 on 17 October 2026, so the claim path is exercised end to end rather than only described. The cohort's remaining submissions are due by 12:00 UTC on 26 October.
The refund rule
Edify refunds the Andamio access token cost once a learner has claimed the credentials for their group's modules. The cost, and the refund, are evidenced under Milestone 2 in Payment Method Integration; it is an Edify commitment on top of the funded proposal's free access, not a Milestone 4 criterion.
Where the cohort reached
Twelve of the fourteen enrolled learners submitted at least one assignment, twenty-seven submissions in total, of which twelve were accepted and one was still in review at the close.
Claimed credentials, read from the chain
The course mints a per-learner state token under policy
571ba17b95fc172fa84a7da67ee22be0847cfd74c6dbff24d101d0e3, one for each learner who starts
work. Its datum holds the list of module credential hashes that learner has completed, so a
learner's record is readable by anyone against mainnet without asking us or the platform.
Read on 28 October 2026:
| Learners with an on-chain course record | 12 |
| Learners holding at least one module credential | 11 of 12 |
| Module credentials recorded complete | 13 |
| Learners holding two | 2 |
| Submissions recorded and awaiting acceptance | 1 |
The module credential assets are not transferred into learner wallets. Each of the nine remains a single asset at the issuing script address, and what a learner holds is their own course state naming the modules they have completed, by the same hashes published in On-chain Asset Creation.
Outstanding
- The remaining modules each group was assigned, and the one submission still in review.
