Course design

Structure

The course runs in nine modules, numbered 000 to 800. Module 000 is orientation; modules 100 to 800 are the eight content modules. Each module opens with a video introduction, breaks into lessons, and closes with at least one assignment. Every lesson carries one or more student learning targets: measurable statements of what the learner can do once the lesson is complete.

See the module reference for the full list.

Where it is now

The course is built on Andamio and every module is in draft: the structure, lessons, figures and assignments are in place, and nothing has been registered on-chain yet. That is deliberate. A module's student learning targets are hashed on-chain when it is minted, so they are signed off first.

Modules9 (000-800)
Lessons67, each bound to one student learning target
Assignments9, one per module, 45 prompts
Figures309
Lesson text~126,000 words, from the course decks' own speaker notes

Each assignment links to its worksheet in the Playbook Builder at edifysystemsgroup.com/playbook: a learner drafts answers there, in their own browser, then copies the text into Andamio's evidence field. Andamio remains the system of record.

Learning model

The course is problem-based in design and project-based in delivery:

  • Problem-based. Each module is framed around a real business challenge a development team faces, such as defining its purpose, understanding its market, or building a leadership model.
  • Project-based. Each assignment asks the learner to apply the module to their own venture. The outputs accumulate into the team's business playbook.

On Andamio, a learner enrols in a module by committing to it on-chain, submits assignment evidence, and receives teacher review. Completed modules are recorded against the learner's wallet.

Pricing

As set out in the funded proposal, the course is free to Catalyst-funded proposers. For everyone else, payment is voluntary: participants contribute what they feel the programme was worth, and contributions fund course running and expansion.

Where it came from

The course is built on five earlier Catalyst-funded Edify programmes, from Fund 7 to Fund 9. The gaps participants identified in their close-out reviews shaped its structure: the move from live sessions to self-paced delivery, the front-loaded orientation, the expanded market and leadership modules, and the choice of Andamio as the platform. The full review is in the Milestone 1 evidence.
