Output: Continued Andamio Blockchain Development

Criterion. Continued blockchain development extends functionality for learner progress tracking. Evidence required. Progress report detailing extended blockchain features; evidence of on-chain learner activity tracking.

Andamio delivered the platform this course runs on. The extensions below landed during delivery and are what the Dev Accelerator is built against.

The v1 to v2 upgrade

Andamio moved from v1 to v2 during the project. v1 courses were never written to the chain: a course existed only in the platform's database, so nothing about it could be verified independently. Under v2 a course is minted under its own policy, and each module's credential carries the hash of its own learning targets.

The Dev Accelerator content was built against v1 and could not be carried across directly. Working with Andamio, the v1 course was recovered as an export bundle and rebuilt against the v2 course, module, lesson and assignment model.

Access tokens: how a learner is tracked

A learner's identity on the platform is a CIP-68 pair, minted in one transaction from their own wallet:

  • 222<alias> — the user NFT, held by the learner. This is the handle their progress is recorded against.
  • 100<alias> — the reference token, locked at a script address, holding the metadata.

Because the identity is an asset the learner holds rather than a row we own, their progress is portable and independently verifiable, and it survives the platform. 178 access tokens have been minted under Andamio's mainnet policy e760308d0c14096ff479ec5f2495455505feb790503903fe976c4fd2.

Progress tracking on-chain

A learner commits to a module, submits evidence against its assignment, and a teacher accepts it. Each step is a transaction from the learner's or the teacher's own wallet, recorded against the course's on-chain state and the module's learning-target hash. What a credential asserts therefore cannot be revised after the fact: change a learning target and the hash no longer matches.

The developer surface

Andamio added a command-line tool and a documented API during the period, which is what made an automated course migration possible at all. The Dev Accelerator's nine modules, their lessons, assignments and 309 figures were imported programmatically rather than typed into a web form.

Using it at this scale surfaced three defects, which were reported back rather than worked around. They are listed, with their effect, in the integration log.

Delivery

Andamio built and operate the platform. Edify commissioned it; Fluid7 integrated the course against it and carried the liaison.
